Pay It Forward 9/11 is a nonprofit organization dedicated to honoring the lives lost in the September 11 attacks by inspiring acts of kindness, compassion, and community service. Since 2002, the organization has encouraged people to perform three good deeds for strangers and invite those recipients to continue the ripple effect by paying kindness forward. Its annual 11 Days of Kindness initiative takes place from September 1–11 and provides opportunities for individuals, schools, businesses, nonprofits, and communities to participate. Pay It Forward 9/11 also offers free classroom resources, event guides, nonprofit and business toolkits, and activities designed to help people learn about 9/11 while promoting empathy, unity, and service. Through volunteer participation, educational programs, remembrance activities, and charitable support, the organization works to keep the spirit of compassion and kindness alive.
