There are days when I suddenly feel like having something sweet, but I don't necessarily want to spend a lot of time deciding what to get. Sometimes it is a slice of cake with coffee, sometimes a few cookies, and sometimes a proper dessert for the whole family. In those moments, searching for “dessert near me” is probably one of the easiest ways to discover nearby bakeries and dessert shops. What I have noticed, though, is that finding a nearby place and finding a good dessert are two different things. Distance is convenient, but taste, freshness, variety, and service can make a much bigger difference to the experience.
