Gordons Chemists, an independent pharmacy chain managing eighteen stores in the eastern part of Northern Ireland, was able to collect £16,570 for Action Cancer, a charity organization that offered free screening to women of certain age brackets outside the range in the National Health Services. These services are provided to women who are aged 40-49 years and over 70 years, and each screening costs the charity £120. These were obtained through raffle schemes, fancy dress events, and bake sales by the 54 branches of the pharmacy in Northern Ireland.
